Kruger National Park Bird Life

The Kruger National Park is home to over 500 bird species. Of these, approximately 200 species are migratory species that visit the park from November through to April. The Kruger is also one of the best locations in the country to spot birds of prey, including the iconic African Fish Eagle. The extensive bird life in this area is due to the Kruger’s numerous and differing habitats which range from savannah, cliffs and gorges to deciduous woodland and riverine forest.
